Travis Kelce roasts Patrick Mahomes, brother, himself on SNL (VIDEO)

Travis Kelsey seemed like a natural comedian in his appearance on Saturday Night Live this week.

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelsey may have a post-football career on his hands as a stand-up comedian if his appearance on Saturday Night Live this weekend is any indication. Kelce was invited to host the popular live comedy show, and of course, one thing fans love to see from the hosts is the opening monologue.

Kelce, who said he’s a huge fan of the show and had the honor of standing on a stage that many comedy greats have seen stand up, was a natural. His timing was perfect, he had a great balance of punches on himself and others, and he had the charming X factor that brought it all together.

Here’s the video and some of the best quotes from his monologue on SNL:

Travis Kelsey makes fun of his lack of words and Patrick Mahomes’ voice

“I was nervous about doing a monologue, but then I remembered that, in fact, I’m pretty good with words,” said Kelsey. Then they showed a clip of his “elegant speech” during Super Bowl 57 that was actually only saying “more” about 20 times in a row to his teammates.

He went on to say “more, more, more” in a voice impersonating Patrick Mahomes, which we’ve all come to love.

He said, “I love you, Pat.”

Travis Kelsey grilled his brother for losing the Super Bowl

Kelsey’s family was in the audience, and he included them in the monologue.

“I got to play against my brother Jason who is an eagle. And my mom has been on TV more than both of us!”

“People keep asking me how it felt like losing my brother in the Super Bowl and um, it was so embarrassing. Especially because after the game we had to go home together. Our mom drove us there in her pickup truck.”

He also addressed some of the differences from the game:

“Even though his team lost after going up by 10 points at the half, my brother is really happy for me. He agrees the referee made the right call. It was a comment,” Kelsey said as the camera gleefully cut to Kelsey dead between sentences. .

Travis Kelsey admits that his brother is better at everything, but that doesn’t matter

Travis Kelsey is the first to admit he wasn’t the smartest or most talented…

“[Jason] He was always better than me in everything. In high school, he was an honor student, and I was kicked out of the team because I failed French. And English too, but French sounds much better.

But in the end, it doesn’t really matter because Travis has two Super Bowl rings.

“And then, when we were in college, I actually got kicked off the team because I tested positive for marijuana. So, just goes to show if you smoke weed and are bad at school, you can win two Super Bowls!”
