Rasul Douglas makes it clear some Packers teammates want Aaron Rodgers back

Messenger Douglas hinted that Aaron Rodgers knows exactly how his Green Bay Packers teammates really feel about him.

Green Bay Packers defensive back Rasul Douglas has a perfectly good explanation for why his teammates didn’t blow up Aaron Rodgers’ social media accounts to get him to stay.

Gary Ellerson of Spectrum News 1 was wondering why Rodgers’ teammates didn’t take to social media, when it seems like every New York Jets player under the sun is publicly flirting with the guy. As it turns out, Rodgers is a good teammate and teammates like Douglas own his number and are more than able to relate to him privately about these things.

This is one of the prime examples where some members of the media just don’t understand that they don’t get it.

Rodgers is still deciding what he wants to do, either stay where he is or retire or trade somewhere else.

There are pros and cons to playing in Green Bay. Although the major Midwestern city of Milwaukee is not far away, the Packers play in the smallest city of any professional sports team in the country. They do not have an owner and play outdoors in a cool climate. Green Bay also has a great fan following and team feel for the game of football that is played at the highest level.

There may not be much to do in town, but the guys hang out with each other all the time during the season. Many great leagues have been forged over the years by those who donned green and yellow and rocked a G on their helmets. The only other NFL franchise that is somewhat like this is the Buffalo Bills, as they are inarguably the biggest thing in town in Western New York.

So while the Jets flirt left and right with Rodgers, they don’t know him like his fellow Packers do. Although he may not be loved by everyone on the team, because he is universally loved anywhere he works, frankly, Rodgers has time and again earned the respect of his teammates with the way he prepares, the way he leads and the way he plays.

The truth is, Rodgers’ Packers teammates probably flirt with him more than the Jets.
