Odell Beckham Jr. getting Cowboys fans hopes up with hype video

Free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. posted a buzz video that will once again get Dallas Cowboys fans excited about the possibility of signing him.
There are moves being made prior to the 2023 NFL season. There were teams putting franchise tags on their best impending free agents, quarterback Derek Carr signing with the New Orleans Saints, and the New York Giants keeping signal caller Daniel Jones on a four-year, $160 million contract. This is just a preview of what’s to come once the free agency negotiation window officially opens on Monday, March 13th.
When it comes to the wide receiver free agency category, Odell Beckham is still one of the top names to follow. After going on a short free run with agency midway through last season, mainly with the Dallas Cowboys, he remained unsigned.
But on Wednesday, Beckham posted a video to his Instagram of himself jogging deep in the field, showing that he had recovered from his anterior cruciate ligament tear. Not only that, but he did an incredible one-handed catch in the short clip.

The Cowboys faithful will certainly beg owner Jerry Jones to make a push to sign Beckham again. Especially after the season for the NFC East team.
After sending Tom Brady into retirement again after defeating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Wild Card Round, the Cowboys lost 19-12 to the San Francisco 49ers in what was a winnable game. The team has already made changes to the offense, parting ways with offensive coordinator Kellen Moore and announcing that head coach Mike McCarthy will call the plays for next season. Not to mention that Dalton Schultz is expected to hit free agency. With that last factor, adding a wide receiver to take some pressure off CeeDee Lamb should be a priority for the Cowboys.
As previously mentioned, the Cowboys brought Beckham for the visit, which highlighted the side of the court sitting wide in a Dallas Cowboys game with linebacker Micah Parsons and linebacker Trayvon Diggs. But, Beckham wasn’t going to return 100 per cent for the 2022 season, so a deal never materialized.
Even after not signing him last season, Jones remains interested in bringing Beckham, saying on March 3 that “he’s someone I have the same kind of interest that I had during the season,” h/t ESPN’s Todd Archer.
Odell Beckham is eligible to sign now, and Jerry Jones said he’s been in indirect contact with the wide receiver and has spoken with Beckham’s mother. “He’s someone I had the same kind of interest in that I had during the season.”

Once the negotiating window officially opens, it will be interesting to see who will pursue Beckham, and if the Cowboys will be one of those teams.
