This is certainly a positive for a player who is considered one of the best prospects in the 2023 NFL Draft, and is widely believed to be the No. 1 player overall by many prior to these revelations. However, he did himself no favors given the off-court controversy now surrounding him by showing up to his pro day this week being overweight and unfit, which showed in training.
Carter cost himself a lot of money in this off-season. We’ll have to see how bad this caused the slide in the draft, and more importantly, if these red flags are a precursor of things to come, it’s something NFL teams are definitely considering right now.
