The New York Jets are looking to add Alain Lazard, possibly to bring in Aaron Rodgers.

The New York Jets are doing everything they can to make Aaron Rodgers want to be traded.

While there is the idea that he would inevitably go with Brett Favre with us and agree to play with Jang Green, the Jets are considering possibly signing veteran player Allen Lazard, who was one of Rodgers’ targets with Green. Bay Packers in the past few years. New York also hired former Denver Broncos coaching disaster Nathaniel Hackett to lure him in.

You have to admire the Jets’ slick approach here to land Rodgers, but it’s desperate.

During their five seasons together at Green Bay, Allen Lazard caught 168 passes for 2,216 yards and 19 TDs off Aaron Rodgers.

Ask yourself this question: Why did the Broncos get Hackett to start last season?

NFL rumour: New York Jets looking to add Green Bay Packers WR Allen Lazard

The Gang Green let the most popular man on the block leave for a divisional rival, Mike White going home and taking his talents to South Beach in his free agency. The Jets still have the NFL’s strongest quarterback unnamed Carson Wentz picking teammate No. 2 overall Zach Wilson. Simply put, Joe Douglas needs to make this deal or it’s going to be hell to pay, I tell you!

The Jets have incredibly passionate fans. Extremely poor ownership has put them in the contest many times more than the numbers on your body. It has become a bit of Stockholm Syndrome for them, but God bless their hearts. And while most of them are New York Mets fans and unworthy of happiness at first, there is an Adam Sandler in the world, and we all love The Sandman.

So when 30-something Jughead pukes on your apartment floor after the Jets put you through another Kangaroo Song extravaganza, I won’t be there for you. However, against all odds, you’ve got a team that’s low-key, stacked and ready to vie for a rare playoff berth. While we’re enjoying our morning cup of joe, just remember one thing. Coffee is and always will be a seal.

Let’s just hope in the Green Gang’s collective mind that hiring Lazard gets Rodgers to join the Jets.
