NFL rumors: Jets considering pairing star WR with Aaron Rodgers trade

The New York Jets have been rumored to be signing a star quarterback and star wide receiver this season – Burque la los Dos?
If the New York Jets become the losing streak this season, it won’t be because of a lack of effort.
Aircraft…. who? Last season, the Jets were memorably snubbed by Tyreek Hill, who opted to join the Miami Dolphins instead. New York has since become a coveted landing spot for disaffected veterans and free agent stars, and there is a possibility the franchise could land not only Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers but also former Los Angeles Rams star Odell Beckham Jr.
The Jets were reportedly one of the few teams to show up to Beckham Jr.’s workout on Friday and may just be doing due diligence on all of the top-ranked free agents out there.
The #Ravens and #Jets are among the teams that attend an OBJ workout.
At least one team is very interested and won’t be attending. Just because they feel they already know their interests and whereabouts.
So the presence or absence of team representatives will not be the full indicator. https://t.co/EHh8HKh5G2

Beckham, who suffered his second torn ACL in the Rams against the Bengals Super Bowl, missed the 2022 season and was expected to join a contender for the playoffs. Late in the season, the 30-year-old went on a free agent tour to visit the New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys and Buffalo Bills, but his injury concerns ultimately kept the teams at arm’s length.
The New York Jets are teetering on a home run with the signings of two star prospects in Aaron Rodgers and Odell Beckham Jr.
Thirteen months after his injury, the otherwise healthy Beckham ranks as the most talented free player this season, and could provide many teams with a verifiable depth threat. He has five career 1,000-yard receiving seasons and established himself as the Rams’ catcher during the 2021 Super Bowl run.
Compared to other teams’ receiving teams, the Jets have a young though mostly unproven unit with 2022 OROY Garrett Wilson leading the pack. Elijah Moore, Corey Davis and Denzel Mims made a solid supporting team on paper, however Moore’s general frustration with his lack of use and playing time last season overshadowed his play on the field. Davis and Mims’ options were good and unimpressive at catching the pass.
With a veteran like OBJ taking the ball from legend Aaron Rodgers, the Jets’ passing offense will be unrecognizable in 2023. No more musical chairs down the middle, no more than three yards per attempt – with Rodgers, New York will complete Finally the match. The rival Super Bowl squad has been building it. Nabbing Bakeham, too, is just the extra sweet cherry on top.
While Rodgers has few options in front of him, Beckham will attract the attention of many teams in need of a receiver. Including the ones he visited last year as well as the Baltimore Ravens.
After a chaotic mid-career stint with the Cleveland Browns and an injury that has plagued him for the past several years, Beckham is likely looking for two things: a legitimate competitor and a forever home.
There’s no way to convict that Beckham will come to New York to play Zack Wilson, but throw in Aaron Rodgers and you’ve got yourself the next dynamic AFC duo.
If the Gates try half as hard with the Beckhams as they did with Rodgers (cross-country plane rides, lavish dinners, red carpets, and a whole shebang), they might have a chance.
