NFL rumors: Is something amiss with Jimmy Garoppolo and the Raiders?

Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo agreed to join the Las Vegas Raiders last Monday, but his introductory press conference on Thursday was postponed.
The Las Vegas Raiders system of general manager Dave Ziegler and head coach Josh McDaniels made the decision to move from quarterback Derek Carr. Nearly a month after Carr was released from his contract, the Raiders obtained his replacement in former San Francisco 49ers caller Jimmy Garoppolo.
The deal was agreed on Monday, March 13, reuniting Garoppolo with McDaniels, the former offensive coordinator for the New England Patriots.
On Thursday, Garoppolo arrived in Las Vegas, appearing at the Raiders’ facility alongside fellow free agents Jacoby Myers, Marcus Epps, Philip Dorsett, Robert Spillane and Brandon Faison. These five free agents were officially announced by the raiders and appeared during the introductory press conference. The thing is, Garoppolo wasn’t in the conference and wasn’t introduced by the team.
The Raiders announced that Garoppolo’s press conference has been officially postponed until Friday, March 17th. So, what’s going on with Raiders and Garoppolo?

ESPN’s Paul Gutierrez tweeted that since the Garoppolo team was not officially introduced, they decided to postpone the conference until Friday. Additionally, sources told Gutierrez that it was “a little late,” but “it’s all good.”

Raiders fans had to scratch their heads, wondering what was going on. After all, the team’s social media team has been tweeting videos of Garoppolo arriving at the facility and shaking hands with McDaniels and his new teammates.
The Raiders and Garoppolo agreed to three-year terms worth $72.8 million, $45 million of which was guaranteed.
Garoppolo was on the trade block last season, but returned to the 49ers for the 2022 season. He filled in after Trey Lance fractured his ankle, and led the team to seven wins in 10 starts. In Week 13, however, Garoppolo suffered a broken foot that sidelined him for the remainder of the season.
In 11 games played, Garoppolo threw for 2,437 yards, 16 touchdowns, and four interceptions while completing 67.2 percent of his passes.
Raiders fans will be waiting this Friday to see if Garoppolo’s press conference continues on the new HTS schedule.
