NFL rumors: Former Chiefs player recruiting Mecole Hardman to AFC rival

Could Mikul Hardman leave the Chiefs for the Browns? Juan Thornhill is doing his best to recruit Georgia product to Cleveland.
With JuJu Smith-Schuster now in New England, the Kansas City Chiefs could easily bring Mikul Hardman back, should they choose.
Smith-Schuster earned about $11 million a season with the Patriots, which was just under his projected value per Spotrac. Could the same be true of Hardiman?
If so, perhaps Hardman could be signed to a multi-year deal worth less than his expected $10 million worth. He would be wise to stay in Kansas City with an organization that better understands how to improve his skill set. Brown, well, brown. Sorry Juan Thornhill.
Chiefs: Will Mikul Hardman sign with the Cleveland Browns?
Far from Amari Cooper, Cleveland’s receiving corps is weak. They could definitely use a player like Hardman, who has experience playing elite quarterback in Patrick Mahomes.
Cleveland is hoping they can find similar levels of success with Deshaun Watson, even though they are a long way off at this point.
Randy Gorzey of Dawg Pound Daily commented on Hardman’s fit with the Browns:
With those moves in the rearview mirror, the Browns now need to turn their attention to the receiving wire. Right now, they have a solid start with Amari Cooper and Donovan Peoples-Jones but they need a reliable WR3, preferably a sparkler in the slot.
Enter Hardman, a speedster who can do a lot of damage from this position. He’s also a valuable running back man and while Jakem Grant is in Cleveland, Hardman will be insured should he suffer another injury.”
Kansas City should still be favorites to re-sign Hardman, especially if they make him a priority given Smith-Schuster’s decision on Wednesday. KC needs wide receiver depth, too.
