Adrian Peterson to announce the future of the NFL
Peterson hasn’t played in the NFL since the 2021 season when he split time between the Tennessee Titans and Seattle Seahawks. He became a free agent after that season and remained unsigned. But in 2022, he notably participated in a boxing match, where he was defeated by former Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Jets respectively Levon Bell.
Early in his career, Peterson etched his name as one of the best running backs in NFL history. After all, he was the latest running back to win the NFL MVP Award, leading the league with 2,097 rushing yards and an average of 131.1 yards per game in the 2012 season.
In his 10 years with the Vikings, from 2007 through 2016, Peterson recorded 11,747 rushing yards and 97 touchdowns on 2,418 carries.
After his tenure with the Vikings ended, Peterson played for the New Orleans Saints, Arizona Cardinals, now Washington Chiefs, Detroit Lions, Titans, and Seahawks.
Amidst the big news to come in the form of NFL free agency, an announcement from Peterson would be worth keeping an eye on.
