NFL rumors: Aaron Rodgers holding Jets hostage until they sign all his friends

Aaron Rodgers is playing for the New York Jets at the moment, which is pretty funny.
Smile like you’re in a hostage situation, New York Jets fans, because Aaron Rodgers is putting you through the contest, okay?
Rodgers hasn’t had a team this bad since the last time the Chicago Bears played. While he will likely agree to be traded to the Green Gang in a few weeks or so, the Jets are unable to do all that much in free agency as they continue to pursue Rodgers. The Green Bay Packers seem fine with rolling with Jordan Love moving forward, while Rodgers wants his buddies in New York.
New York is trying to sign Packers wide receivers Allen Lazard and Randall Cobb to lure Rodgers.
With the Jets closing in on a trade for WR Allen Lazard, another WR on their radar in the coming days for free agency is expected to be Packers veteran Randall Cobb, according to league sources.

Andrew Brant, a former front office executive for the Packers, is convinced Rodgers is trying to force the Jets to do things Green Bay is no longer interested in.
According to reports, the remaining business issues seem to involve the Jets doing things for Aaron that the Packers have done in recent years, and are no longer willing to do.

And look at this! They’re trying to get Big Dog Marcedes Lewis to come to the Jets this offseason.
Veteran free agent TE Mercedes-Lewis, who has spent the past five seasons in Green Bay, has attracted interest from among others the New York Jets and Las Vegas Raiders, according to league sources.

The fact that the Jets are in hot pursuit of the Big Dog lets you know how serious this trade is.
NFL rumour: Aaron Rodgers made the New York Jets smile in hostage situation
There’s no doubt about it, the Jets need to upgrade their quarterback position badly. They let Mike White leave for the Miami Dolphins in free agency. Although Gang Green could sign a high-quality gap or backup, the Zach Wilson era of Jets football went to hell at a handbasket faster than you can tell Jet Blue air (heir). Look, Gates. Just figure it out and have Rodgers come and play here.
No team has missed the playoffs more frequently than the Jets. Long gone are the days of Mark Sanchez’s Pot Fumbling, Bart Scott can’t wait and Rex Ryan asks you to go grab a snack. Aside from some Vinny Testaverde greatness and a bit of Chad Pennington shenanigans, these are the Jets football glory days of my life. We didn’t appreciate them.
In general, the longer this time, the worse it will be for planes and packers. This is because many of the other 30 teams in the NFL will be able to improve their rosters in free agency. Not everyone will win in free agency like the Atlanta Falcons, but the Jets should trade Rodgers to finish in second place. It’s okay, I believe in them. Second place in the East Asia region will take you to the playoffs.
Jets fans, Packers fans, content creators, and Pat McAfee fans, we’re all here for you guys.
