Potential suitors from Lamar Jackson seem to be dwindling after the Ravens put the franchise’s nonexclusive mark on the QB, but one team hasn’t come out yet.
It had been a possibility for some time that the Baltimore Ravens would put the franchise tag on quarterback Lamar Jackson. According to ESPN’s Dianna Russini and a source within the Raiders organization, Las Vegas has made no option off the table at quarterback, specifically noting that Jackson wasn’t out of the question yet for the Silver and Black.

It should also be noted that if we take Rossini’s report literally, they may not be up against Aaron Rodgers either, as previously reported. However, this seems unlikely given that a Jets deal could have been as good as was done with the Packers at this point.
In the case of Lamar Jackson, that would make more sense for the Raiders in their current situation. The team moved on from Derek Carr when he didn’t necessarily have to, and moving to someone like Jimmy Garoppolo in free agency would feel more like a lateral move than a promotion. However, Jackson represents the latter type of movement.
Jackson getting in on offense with Davante Adams, Darren Waller and Josh Jacobs will tempt them to see that, even if the Raiders still need help that first-round picks they have to offer the Ravens if they agree to a deal he doesn’t. Baltimore doesn’t want to match what they can. that you offer.
