France striker Karim Benzema has announced his retirement from international football.
The 35-year-old, who missed World Cup 2022 after picking up a thigh injury ahead of the tournament, revealed his decision in a social-media post on Monday.
“I’ve written my story and ours has reached its end,” Benzema wrote.
The Real Madrid star won 97 caps for France, scoring 37 goals.
