Jets fans have been put through the wringer waiting to see if Aaron Rodgers will be the quarterback. So take advantage of players like Garrett Wilson.

Sometimes, there seems to be a chasm between the experience of NFL players and NFL fans. Playing for a team and rooting for that team are two different leagues.

When it comes to the Aaron Rodgers saga, Jets fans and gamers seem to be riding the exact same roller coaster.

Will he? had won? nobody knows.

Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson had to tell fans he doesn’t have any inside information on Rodgers’ condition after he tweeted what seemed to confirm reports that he was a done deal.

Garrett Wilson is just as much a fan of Aaron Rodgers as a Jets fan

“I didn’t fake it, I thought the ‘Dove bro’ tweet was the news I’ve been waiting for… you name it. I guess anything. Sorry about that,” Wilson tweeted Monday night as Rodgers apparently remained undecided.

It all started when Trey Wingo tweeted that “Rodgers to the Jets is over.” This report was compiled and shared by Dov Kleiman, the account referenced by Wilson.

NFL insiders such as Ian Rapoport refuted the Wingo report, saying that signs of a potential trade for Rodgers existed but that the deal was not.

It seems Wilson fell into the same hope that Jets fans did when they saw Wingo’s report. Hours later, it became clear that the wait for news about Rodgers would extend.

It’s been an agonizing wait for Gates fans but they’re not the only ones holding their breath. Wilson’s future is tied to Rodgers’ decision. And he is not the only one. With the word ‘package deals’ circulating, there is a group of players who need a quarterback to set their course before they can get on their own.

And so I stayed to watch Aaron Rodgers.
