Excited Justin Fields pumped up after Bears acquire D.J. Moore
The Chicago Bears made a massive move to get huge capital and WR DJ Moore from the Carolina Panthers, and Justin Fields is excited about it.
There was an explosion in the Windy City. The Chicago Bears made a blockbuster trade, and Justin Fields was laughing with glee somewhere.
On Friday, the franchise decided to trade the No. 1 overall pick to the Carolina Panthers in exchange for a bunch of draft picks and wide receiver DJ Moore, who instantly became the number one receiver on the Bears depth chart. As you can imagine, Fields is excited, as evidenced by his recent social media move.
Somewhere, those begging the Fields to leave the Bears, notably Colin Coward and Mike Tannenbaum, respectively, were shaking their heads in disbelief and smacking the air. Please calm down and move on. Chicago thinks they have their own QB and have added a gun to his arsenal.
The Chicago Bears are showing their commitment to Justin Fields
Right now, the bears have a lot of leverage. Given their current situation, it made sense to trade the first overall pick, cash back some valuable introductory capital, and invest around Justin Fields. Moreover, the NFC is still a wide open conference, and by making the team, there’s a chance Chicago could make some noise quickly and convincingly.
The AFC is a much stronger opponent, and Chicago watched how the Eagles fared against the Chiefs in the big game last year. It was a close game, but the lack of pressure from the defensive line despite flashy stats during the regular season proved the Eagles’ downfall.
It will take an outstanding offense and proven defense to beat the AFC on the big show. Chicago is not even close. However, they are building something, and with the choices they’ve been given, they have a chance to make some noise. At least Justin Fields’s got a major gun, and his detractors have shown the door to The Village of Silence. Life couldn’t be much sweeter than this.
