Calvin Ridley reinstated: NFL world reacts to Jaguars’ newest weapon

The former Hawks widely ran on the back of Calvin Ridley, he told a friend. The Jacksonville Jaguars offense will be something else this year.
Hooray! The most lame commentary in NFL history is finally over. Calvin Ridley’s running back from the Jacksonville Jaguars should have the most football fans jumping in the air.
So Ridley bet a few more games – other NFL players got away with much worse for much less.
Ridley was officially reinstated Monday after the NFL suspended him for a year for gambling at NFL games. The Atlanta Falcons haven’t played in the 2018 First Round since October 2021, when he decided to take a break from soccer to focus on his mental health. During that period, Ridley placed some illegal bets and ended up suspended for the 2022 season.
This past November, Atlanta traded Ridley to the Jaguars for a fourth and sixth league, and the rest is history. The history being written now, anyway.
In 2023, Ridley joined one of the most promising youth offenses in the league, playing alongside Trevor Lawrence, Travis Etienne, Evan Ingram, and Christian Kirk, among others. If all it took were a few bad bets to get to this star-studded list, there’s a good chance Ridley will do it again.
Jacksonville became the running back kids for the 2022 season after beating the Tennessee Titans for the division title and narrowly losing to the Kansas City Chiefs in the playoffs. Adding fast range like Ridley makes the Jaguars more dangerous, and with Trevor Lawrence growing into one of the NFL’s most accurate passers, Ridley has the potential to surpass the 2020 numbers when he posted 90 catches for over 1,300 yards.
The AFC should be afraid. The rest of the league must be scared. Here’s how the NFL world reacted to Calvin Ridley’s highly anticipated return.
The Jaguar offense is a cheat code with forgotten talent Calvin Ridley

It was a reminder that the Jaguars’ under-the-radar move to acquire Calvin Ridley at the trade deadline was the smartest of all trade deadline moves.

Many people can’t wait to bet on the shiny new Jaguar extensively for obvious reasons. We, for one, just want to see karmic justice and we want someone to place a big bet on Ridley to be the MVP of Comeback for 2023.
Frankly, Ridley could not have returned from exile at a better time. The Jacksonville Jaguars come into 2023 after enjoying a great season with the help of a stink-cleared coaching staff at Urban Meyer. Lawrence, Etienne, and Ridley are the new kids on the block, and they come to steal the AFC’s candy.
