Biggest 2023 NFL Draft risers and fallers following NFL Draft Combine

The NFL Combine has come and gone with several players who have boosted their stock in a huge way while others have underperformed.

What the top of the NFL Draft looks like will soon become clearer, but which players made the most impact on their draft picks?

Let’s take a look at the three biggest highs and lows after last week’s results.

The NFL’s Biggest Pull Up Risers

Anthony Richardson, QB – Florida

Perhaps no player has bolstered his stock more than Anthony Richardson, who put up one of the most impressive Test numbers we’ve seen from the centre-back position.

Richardson is now sitting at +300 odds to be the first pick of the NFL Draft, a dramatic uptick from the +8,000 odds just a few months ago. At this point, it would be surprising to see Richardson break out of the top five picks.

Jackson Smith Ngegba, WR – Ohio State

Smith Ngegba reminded everyone exactly who he was, in case anyone forgot. He led all receivers with a shortstop of 6.57 seconds and a three cone 3.93 second while proving to get past the hamstring issues that have kept him out of the field this season.

After being considered a late first-round pick or early second-round pick, Ohio State’s lead is now +180 to be the first wide receiver to be caught. He is one of the most impressive receivers in the class and I expect him to be in the top 20.

Darnell Washington, TE – Georgia

Washington had an exceptional week with similar metrics to Rob Gronkowski and pulling out a one-handed highlight reel thanks to a major adjustment.

Despite only catching 28 tackles this season, Washington is now planning as an early draft pick for a team hoping to capitalize on his athleticism and develop him into a superstar.

Biggest NFL Raffle Draw

Will Leevis, QB – Kentucky

It’s not that Levis performed badly, though he didn’t seem particularly accurate on his throw, but it’s more that Richardson and C.J. Stroud broke up with the Kentucky signal caller.

Levis flirted with chances near +800 to be the first pick in the pre-collective draft but now sits at +1200. Richardson, Stroud and Bryce Young appear to have a comfortable lead over Levis.

Kayshon Boutte, WR – LSU

Feet, meet mouth. After being declared the No. 1 receiver in the draft, Butte finished in the 2nd percentile in the vertical jump (29″) and 32nd percentile in the broad jump (108″) with a disappointing 467 seconds.

Boutte only had 538 yards this season on 48 catches, and had perhaps the most disappointing total of any receiver. We expect him to be around in the third round and possibly later as a result.

Mike Morris, D – Michigan

NFL teams covet the athleticism of pass rushers and Morris did little to suggest he should be among the top draft picks. On top of the disappointing numbers in rushing drills and jumpers, Morris struggled badly with the four-sack drills.

After making just 23 tackles this season, Morris may have fallen to a third-day pick thanks to his poor testing.
