3 strangest players to ever play in an Eagles jersey

The Philadelphia Eagles have seen their fair share of great players, but some of them weren’t so great in the City of Brotherly Love. Let’s take a look at the weirdest thing in history.
The Philadelphia Eagles made a trip to the Super Bowl in 2023. Players flocked to the Eagles this season because they were one of the favorites for the championship. Heading into next season, the Eagles are the pre-free agency favorites.
Last season, we saw legends like Ndamukong Suh, James Bradberry, Robert Quinn, and Gardner Minshew. They all had their best days elsewhere, but came to the Eagles to play a rival. While Suh would probably make a lot of sense for this list, his presence on the current list makes it difficult to add him to the list of surprises.
Too many times, these Philadelphia stars fail. It is a very difficult market to thrive in. This city demands greatness, especially from its stars. Being really good is usually not good enough, and that pressure can get to a star coming out of Tennessee or Indianapolis. One star that comes to mind has signed a massive contract from a division competitor.

3. DiMarco Murray
DeMarco Murray was great with the Dallas Cowboys. He led the league in rushing in 2014. Then he became a free agent. He signed a five-year contract extension with the Eagles out of season. It went terribly, and it only lasted once.
Murray ran for 702 yards in 15 games in 2015. He was eventually benched, losing the starting role to Darren Sproles. It was a complete disaster.
What makes it worse is that the Eagles replaced LeSean McCoy by adding Murray. McCoy and the Eagles didn’t always have the best relationship, but this was clearly a downer. Murray was a complete failure in Philadelphia. Now, it’s strange to see him in the midnight green.
